Email & SMS Campaign Intelligence Platform
Led the maintenance and infrastructure modernization of a competitive intelligence platform for email and SMS marketing, serving ecommerce brands and agencies.
Led the engineering effort on a competitive intelligence platform that empowers ecommerce marketers to benchmark email and SMS campaigns across industries. The platform provides a curated index of thousands of brands, enabling users to track competitor email strategies, analyze end-to-end email journeys (welcome, cart abandonment, winback), explore industry-level insights and trends, and browse curated SMS marketing examples. Over a three-year tenure as lead engineer, focused on migrations, platform updates, and infrastructure improvements using Terraform for AWS resource provisioning and Kubernetes for container orchestration. Drove critical infrastructure modernization including migrating microservices from EC2 to EKS, modernizing the frontend build system from Browserify to Webpack, upgrading Node.js runtimes across services (10 → 22), updating Lambda functions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and creating comprehensive technical documentation. The platform frontend uses React.js and Angular.js for different modules, powered by a Node.js backend and Python-based analytical services. WordPress on WPEngine serves the marketing site. All infrastructure runs on AWS with modern container orchestration.
